To prepare for this ritual:

​

*Gather any of your regular altar tools such as chalice for water, salt for Earth, candle for fire, incense or feather for air, etc.

*Print a few pictures of MAGA symbols, rallies, etc, to place on the altar so there is a common focal point for everyone in attendance. These are meant to be burned so print them on copy paper! If you have a hat, pin, or other paraphernalia, include that as well. Physical objects and pictures will help focus the energy and intention. Don’t burn these items unless you already have a way to do so safely. Do not include anything that will trigger you. We can use our anger, hurt, and frustration in this working to empower our intentions and energy. But this only works if we are able to properly channel those feelings and use it to enhance our power. If having a red hat in the ritual is too much, don’t use it.

*You will also need 4 blue candles- ritual chime candles or tapers will be fine. If you want to do this ritual multiple times over a period of time, pillars will last much longer and will be a more suitable option.

*If you use incense in the air quarter, any fragrance will be sufficient, but feel free to select one with properties for energy work, curse/hex breaking, healing, etc.

*Anointing oil for the candles. Whichever blend you wish.

*Wear black if possible.

*Use eyeliner or other makeup to mark your wrists, face, forehead, heart, wherever, with protection and magick symbols such as bindrunes, pentacles, or sigils of your own creation.

*Herbs! You will want to find as many of the following herbs as well as charcoal discs and a fire safe receptacle such as a cauldron.

Eyebright- To open the eyes, reveals the truth, to see new perspectives

Frankincense- Cleansing and purification

Asafoetida- Powerful banishing and purification (don’t use a lot unless you have a strong stomach)

Nettles- Dispels darkness, drives away evil

Burdock- Wards off negativity

Angelica- Protection, wards off negativity, exorcism

Sulphur powder/brimstone - destroy’s a person’s power over an individual, removes someone’s influence, hex-breaking

If you are more experienced in green magick and/or more baneful workings, please feel free to include any other herbs you have. I have only included easy to find ingredients or ones safer for beginners.

In a separate dish, make a blend of these to use to dress your candles if you want. Otherwise, do not blend the herbs ahead of the ritual. We will add herbs one at a time to the cauldron in the ritual.

 

Setting up:

 

As you are setting up for your ritual, whether you are alone or with others, it may help to set the mood and raise the energy to play appropriate music, such as popular protest music. Turn the music off before the ritual begins. But turn it back on afterwards if you want! There is a section after the ritual where this music can be used. Before beginning the ritual, open a window or two just a couple inches to allow for airflow and for herbal smoke to get out. The energy needs to be able to get out! Establish protective wards around your home or wherever this ritual is performed. There is a ritual for creating wards on this page for you to use. Cast a circle or consecrate the space, and call quarters as you normally would. Have 4 blue candles present in the 4 corners of the altar or 4 corners of the room. The candles do not have to align with the cardinal directions. The more spread out the candles are, the easier to visualize their energy and power emanating out from the room/house. Blue is the color for healing and intuition, water, and the throat chakra/communication. Anoint them and intentionally carve them with phrases such as “AWAKE! THE MAGA CULT” or with words such as “REVEAL”, “SEE THE TRUTH” or whichever phrasing strikes you. You may also include a blend of the herbs listed to dress the candles. Rolling the well-oiled candles in the herbs will help them stick.

 

Performing the ritual:

 

Once you have set-up your altar, consecrated the space, built protection wards, and called your quarters, all as you normally would, the ritual begins. Everyone present should join hands in a circle and focus on grounding themselves and focusing and raising energy for the work at hand. If there are pictures or MAGA items on the altar, focus on those. All stand together and focus on bringing energy up from the ground and into your mind/third eye. With everyone’s hands joined, and in a down position, everyone together gradually raise hands to the ceiling to symbolize the ritual beginning and the energy rising. Slowly release hands but keep them up and facing upwards.

Here is a call and response section. Everyone should speak this with absolute power and authority. Mean it. Someone, either the HP/leader or designated speaker recites the following and everyone responds:

 

HP: Awake! Awake! The people cheer

Everyone: MAGA has no power here

HP: Awake! Awake! Far and wide

Everyone: Good will rise and evil hide

HP: Awake! Awake! We command you to see

Everyone: MAGA is no more, so mote it be

 

Whether you are in a group or working alone, repeat this as many times as feels necessary. All while keeping hands raised as this is meant to direct the words, energy and intention up and out. You can lower your arms once this part is done.

One person should be in charge of the herbs and cauldron. And either have one person read the entirety of the ritual incantation, have everyone read it together in unison, or divide it up amongst all attendees to each read a few lines. Whichever you choose, make sure you have allowed yourselves time before the ritual to read through it a few times and know the plan. The more prepared everyone is, the better.

For the herbs section- the cauldron keeper should have laid out the herbs in the order they want to incorporate them. They should be familiar with the properties and uses for each one so they can visualize the intention for each one as they add it to the cauldron. This role is the only one not reading the incantation, they are to fully focus on the herbs and cauldron. After the call-response, the cauldron keeper should immediately light the charcoal (have a few on standby because dud discs can happen.) Everyone stay silent but sharply focused and ready. This part may take a moment. As soon as the charcoal is properly activated, the cauldron keeper signals The HP/leader to begin the incantation.

 

Speak this incantation with authority and absolute confidence. Theatrically, even. As the incantation is spoken, the cauldron keeper adds the herbs one by one while focusing on their individual jobs. If the cauldron keeper finishes adding herbs before the incantation is finished, they just continue focusing on their part and their energy. If the incantation finishes before the cauldron keeper, everyone remain silent and just hold the space.

 

The Incantation:

 

The circle is cast, these words I speak firm

All that wear the red mark, now made to learn

You have all been blind, willfully, by choice

You took great pleasure and at our suffering did rejoice

Your hatred, your malice, commitment to repression

Your dear leader’s violence you supported without question

You drank deep our destruction, gorged yourselves upon the lies

Rejected equity, threatened peace, laughed at our cries

All of these deeds, you knowingly did choose

Now you will know that you, too, were meant to lose

This truth we force upon you, brutal and heavy

Our wrath now released like a flood from a levy

Blinders ripped off, the bright light how it sears

This bitter awakening leaves you in tears

Behold now as the wolves ripped from their disguise

See you betrayed your own for an empty prize

May the horror of your choices haunt your mind

May you feel the pain compounded and may it be unkind

May the poison you drank drain from your blood

May the wrongs you committed by you be undone

Awake now, our brothers and sisters in red

Cast the cursed fabrics from body and head

Reject the propaganda and fascist division

Bear glad witness to MAGA’s demolition

This is the way, for the highest good of all

And for those that remain, hard and swift will be your fall

We will this, we make it so, and now it is done

Open your eyes and join us now, our future is won

We are magick and magick are we

ALL: As we have willed it, so shall it be!

 

Immediately make a ruckus. Clap, stomp, cheer, sing, dance, etc. Someone put the music on. Stay in the circle and celebrate as the candles burn. Visualize the outcome, talk about it as if it’s already happening. If you want, burn the MAGA pictures that you printed. Let the candles burn out or snuff them to repeat the ritual another day. If you snuff them and do not want to do the full ritual a second time, that’s fine. Burn the candles every day or almost every day with intention until they’re finished. Sit with them and focus on the outcome and if you want, recite the incantation by itself each time. When it’s time to conclude the ritual and open the circle, do so as you normally would. Eat and drink, have a party. MAGA’s days are numbered
